On Passing
I am very concerned for the newest member of team blue. Yesterday he apparently passed a leaf. Just what is pink forcing my poor son to eat?

Rabbits
Last year I made a post on the girls experience with seeing the cat catch and eat an animal. In the time since that post much, apparently much has changed with the girls This past week as I was getting their breakfast ready I heard them cry "Bunny, Bunny" and looked out the back door to see our cat about to eat a small rabbit. I was even able to record some of their glee and excitement over this gruesome ordeal.
(Warning: Below video features blood, guts, and the dismembering of a helpless but dead animal)
At first, I thought this was a one time thing but that idea lasted until the next morning. Sunday morning was warm so we ate outside and once again Moonbeam had a rabbit. I was then promptly regalled with the following girlish phrases:
"Take it off, Take if off" - Referring the rabbits fur.
"Take it out, Take it out" - Referring to his eyeballs.
Monday morning brought much mourning from the girls when they realized the cat did not have a rabbit to eat while they had breakfast.
I thought I was raising girls, I really did. I do not know where they learned violent nature so it must be ingrained in pink.

A tasty Dilemna
We recently took an spontaneous vacation to Gatlinburg so the girls could visit the aquarium there. While at the aquarium though, I had a conundrum. Normally most anything pink is hated and sent to the circular file. But what do you do when said pink object is a crab the size of a hubcap? I suppose in this case I can the only good use for this pink item is for dinner.

What is for Breakfast?
I have taken to asking the girls what they want for breakfast in the morning and let them choose between eggs or oatmeal, with various mixings. I thought I would chronicle some of the rejected ideas for breakfast though:
1. Brother
2. Brother's Toes
3. Poop
4. Cockroaches
5. Sister
Obviously, as the above choices do not meet Federal Dietary guidelines I had to refuse them. The poor girls were heartbroken.

What's for Dinner?
The only thing worse than suitors is a band of hungry orcs when my sweet hobbit maidens are running around in the back yard. Thankfully it seems we were able to rescue her from the pot of doom before anything to bad happened.

What's for dinner?
Sometimes, no matter how well we plan, dinner is a mess. We get home late and the food needs another 40 minutes to cook but you have hungry children and husband. What do you do in these desperate times? You have a reverse dinner where you serve the dessert first. This is especially a crowd pleaser when said dessert is yummy Publix Ice Cream.

How to feed Toddlers
Sometimes your child is just plain stubborn when it comes to eating
their food. No matter what they do mid-eating they suddenly do not like
it anymore. I present to you the cure in getting them to eat better.
Alligators. It can also help if you chomp on them with the alligators as
well.

Ice Cream Sandwiches
This week the girls decided for the special food to have Ice Cream Sandwiches. They were quick to point out that they need something extra so they chose some Spaghetti sauce from dinner.

Food of the Week: Toddler Exia
This past week the girls have taken a new fondness to refusing certain foods. We their parents have decided that we will be more stubborn than them and win this battle. So, after giving them their food a 2nd and 3rd time we present them with something that while still filling is not high on their like scale. Today it was Cream of Wheat with a slice of plain bread.

Breakfast Foods
Breakfast is always an interesting ordeal in the Aldrich household though the food remains somewhat consistent, either oatmeal or eggs. This morning though I decided to try something different. They seemed rather excited about their new menu options.

Food of the Week
I thought that I would start a new blog series highlighting the different foods that my children present to us. Some maybe good, some bad.
The food for this week is considered a delicacy to some people. It is carefully mined in a dark, moist environment but unfortunately as it has a short shelf life, it must be devoured quickly. Some people though may try to season it some to remove or change the flavor.
